Selections from the museum's diverse collection of ceramics are presented in the Kahren Jones Arbitman and Michael Arbitman Gallery. The installation ranges from ancient Andean and historical Chinese and Korean vessels to modern and contemporary pots by Japanese, European, and American ceramists. An early focus on utilitarian wares for the collection has recently expanded to include sculptural ceramic objects, which has helped the museum to offer a more comprehensive view of the use of fired clay as an expressive medium for artists today.
